The Brick Township Historical Society meets the second Tuesdays of September,
November, January, March and June at 7:30 pm in the Herbertsville Firehouse, 601 Herbertsville
Road, Brick, New Jersey

Programs are presented at each general meeting, which are open to the public. Besides the general meetings the Society runs bus trips, workshops, and participates in local events.  (see   Calendar for more details)

The Society operates the
Havens Homestead
521 Herbertsville Road,
Brick, NJ.

Proceeds from sales and fund raisers are used to maintain Havens Homestead, which
is open for tours and special events.

Chris Claus, the Chief Park Naturalist of Cattus Island County Park, will give a program on the Barnegat Bay and Super Storm
March 10, 2015
German Georgieff, the Chief Naturalist of Wells Mills County Park, will present a program about the Tuckerton, NJ Central and Pennsylvania Railroads. using photos and historical accounts, he will highlight the features and structures that still remain in our backyard.
June 9, 2015
Andrew Anderson of the Double Trouble Village State Historic Site will speak on the Pine Barrens Industries. There is a long and storied history that dates back to the colonial era when prized Atlantic White Cedar was milled for shipbuilding, shingles and many other uses. Through slides and stories he will trace the evolution of how the village received its unique name.
