BRICK TOWNSHIP HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION

Local Ordinance 929-98 created the Brick Township Historic and Preservation Commission on October 27, 1998. The Commission is composed of nine regular members and two alternate members each serving two years set on a staggered basis by appointment.

By Ordinance, members represent a variety of backgrounds and must include a person with knowledge in building design and construction or architectural history, a person knowledgeable in local history, and residents of Brick Township who are not employed by the Township.

The Commission is charged with making recommendations and advising the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment and the Township Council about designated historic landmarks.
