The museum is open beginning April 12th on Saturdays 10:00 to 12:00pm and Sundays from 12:00 to 2:00.  It is closed on Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and major holiday weekends.

The Brick Township Historical Society will sponsor its Spring Afternoon Tea on May 14, 2016 from 1 to 3 pm at its Havens Homestead Museum, 521 Herbertsville Rd., Brick. Costumed society members will serve a variety of teas, fresh fruit, scones, finger sandwiches, cookies and cake in this 1800’s farmhouse. Bonnie Leigh, a folk musician from Brick who performs and teaches at dulcimer festivals across the northeast, will entertain the guests.
Reservations can be made by calling 732-458-4788 starting March 1 from 11 am on. Donation is $20 for members and $22 for non-members.

June 11, 2016 Annual Giant Yard Sale with a licensed gold/silver dealer available to buy your unwanted jewelry and other items. You will be amazed at the vast array of home goods, furniture, toys, etc. at very reasonable prices. The Lizzie Herbert Gift Shop will also have specials. This takes place at our Havens Homestead Museum property, 521 Herbertsville Rd., Brick. The parking lot is accessed by a driveway with a sign that says “Havens Farm” 150 feet east of the museum.

August 6 and 7, 2016 – Civil War Encampment – The 61st New York Regiment of Civil War Soldiers will again visit our property, camping out for the weekend. They will be available to interact with guests and answer questions about what life was like during an encampment. They will march, fire guns and give demonstrations. Free admission. Hours are daytime on Aug. 6 and 7 until approximately 2 pm on Sunday.
