The museum is open beginning April 12th on Saturdays 10:00 to 12:00pm and Sundays from 12:00 to 2:00.  It is closed on Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and major holiday weekends.

Havens Homestead Museum

Season’s Opening


The Havens Homestead Museum’s opening on April 12, 2014 will feature an exhibit honoring the rich cultural heritage of Brick Township’s artists which dates back to Clara Stroud Colvin and a meeting of artists in her Herbertsville studio on September 18, 1939 and the founding of the Laurelton Art Society in 1980 which held its first meeting at Joan of Arts located on the Laurelton Circle now the Laurelton intersection. Exhibiting artists are members of the Laurelton Art Society.


  • This must-see show features an exhibit honoring the extensive shoreline of Brick’s oceanfront, bay, rivers, lakes, and streams.  Enjoy the work of 20 artists who celebrate the wonderful waterfront views in their exhibit “Water, Water, Everywhere”.  The exhibit includes beautiful watercolors, pastels and oils paintings by some of the most influential artists of Jersey Shore. Included are award winning Elsa Herrmann, Mary Jo Austin, Pauline Mickle, Lynne Salisbury, Ellen Scharfenberg, Jim Larkin, Gail Herbert, Kathy Essner, Robert D’Imperio, Carolyn Anderson, Gail Mauro, Joy Krais, Betty Clayton, Pam Onori, Anne Valletta, and Joanne Zezula.


The show will open on April 12th and run through May 10th.

  • April 26 - Spring Bus Trip to the Strasburg Rail Road and the Amish Country, cost $83 includes smorgasbord at Shady Maple, all admissions, transportation & gratuity for driver, call 732-785-2500 for a reservation.
  • May 17 - Spring Afternoon Tea from 1 to 3 pm, cost $20, call 732-785-2500 for a reservation.
  • June 7 – Our Annual Giant Yard Sale from 9 am to 2 pm (rain date – June 8) on the Havens Homestead property, also large jewelry sale and dealer to buy gold this year!
  • August 2 & 3 – Encampment of the 61st, NY Volunteer Civil War Regiment, free admission
  • September 17 - Fall Bus Trip to the State Capital and the Police Museum & Training Center, cost $60 includes all admissions, lunch, transportation & gratuity for driver, call 7732-785-2500 for a reservation.
  • October 4 - Fall Afternoon Tea from 1 to 3 pm, cost $20, call 732-458-4788 for a reservation.
  • December 5 & 7 – Christmas at the Museum, refreshments, Victorian Santa, more details to be announced. Donation $5, children under 12 are free.
